It's that weird hellaflush trend. The one that's dangerous, probably illegal, and completely useless in the track world, but people do it anyway to be trendy.

It's kind of like being "high fashion." It might be uncomfortable and itchy, but dammit, that $350 sweater vest from Banana Republic just looks so great matched with that starchy $140 button up shirt from Armani Exchange.

Thank God our cars have a live rear axle. I'd hate to see a 5.5 gen rolling around looking like that Silvia.

I saw a new Camaro lifted on 22's today. I almost cried. It looked so terrible.

OP, IMHO, the wheels look awkwardly wide. But then again, I've never been a big fan of the "deep-dish" lips on our cars. I think that our cars look much better with positive offset wheels.

Since there wasn't any stated point to the thread except "look at my rims",
I figure it's open season on opinions. I'm not hating... I'm just explaining my opinion.
I dont consider that much of a stretch at all to be honest.

Looks good, but I would have gone more aggressive..

Needs a drop asap.

Looks decent, but can look much better with a drop and spacers

The stretch trend was from the fact that you can't have your tires stick out farther than the fenders anywhere iirc, soo people just poked the wheels instead. Remember how this all started with VWs years ago then just now caught on? I don't care for poke myself. (insert pun) thats what she said.

Can't agree on the track thing, one if a maxima sees a road course. Two pretty obvious its for aesthetics. Three I've seen quite a few track cars with stretched tires, though not to this extreme of course.

I just don't understand getting wheels that stick out of the fenders to begin with. Flushness is nice, but I've always been a fan of lowering and having the wheels and tires sit up inside a bit and fill the wheel-well. Not having to run fail camber angles that make your axles suffer.

Oh Im with you too man, I don't care for the poke either. I do love VIP cars w/o the dummy camber of course. I give the OP credit for thinking outside the maxima cookie cutter g35/350z wheels trend.

I give him credit, too. But I still like Mr****'s rims the best.

His car is teh sex with those rims. Best looking offset I've seen in a long time.

I'm getting something...similar. Only in 17's, though.

This.

Its why i think its dumb to say "oh it would look better with G35/350Z wheels" everybody has done it already. And it probably wont look better.

im not even sure i agree with that. If he gets coilovers i doubt u would have much to say other than his car looks good, look at Mr****s and essential1 and what they are doing as far as wheel fitment.

Hmm... you guys are too young to remember the Flintstones. With rims sticking out the sides of your car like that, might as well be rolling on a log.

Opinions...

If it works for you then roll with it. It doesn't work for me.

if he gets coilovers he wont be going anywhere since he will rub awfully bad and probably even eat up the lip of the rim

too whoever said he could use a drop and more spacers? lol. Below would be the result

looks great on your car...needs a drop though.

as far as the 'dislike' on the poke...i mean seriously...everyone does not track their car and not everyone has the same like/desire to have their car do the same or look the same as the next car owner. let them do their own thing. of course there are things i dont like about certain cars, but if thats their doing, then let them do it. i hate when people come at me and tell me 'o this doesnt look right on your car' ITS MY CAR, MY MONEY that i've decided to do things with. when you pay for my car then you'll have a say, until then chill out.

on another not LOL. i forgot the name of the chemical, but you can easily remove those paint marks on your car, its similar to acetone.

Loves the lip on them! I'm pretty sure many of the people would have a chance of heart when you slam it down cuz it'll look sick as hell!! Keep it up!

And there it is. Awesome example. Fart can, gay spoiler and Flintstone wheels. This is what happens when you prioritize fantasy over function, and suffer from a deficit of good taste.

Can you feel the pride?

Are you referring to my post about road spray? If so, I'm not talking about paint and stuff like that, I'm talking about small stones and gravel. Just past the rear door on the bottom looks like it's been sandblasted due to the width of my tires. I'm actually downsizing to 235s to try to counteract this a bit.

I watched the flintstones..

But what I'm saying is that with a smaller wheel, more thread wall a few more mm of spacer and more of a stretched tire would make it look better..

Also the car needs to be lowered to actually see what it will look like. Im thinking of hellaflush, I love the look.

But I dont want to pay the cost to have the looks.

you cant seriously believe that with a drop and MORE spacers he would be able to drive it anywhere and still have tires when he gets there. With a drop as it is I bet it would rub horribly

lolwith all your opinions & criticism, you gotta love the .org hella flush indeed is what im aiming for my homeboy has a G35 & his bro has a 350z both on the hella flush website so i said hey wth why not. & i dont track my car or anything like that, if i was i would most definitly throw some smaller more lighter wheels with proper tires its common sense.

but thanks for all your input , opinions, criticism, your, .02 or whatever like i said you gotta love the .org everyone has different outlooks, & desires.

gl to your future mods, etc. keep up the good work i love all of your cars, well most of them, some i know still in the making, like mine but yea "it is what it is"

i doubt it would be bad, it will sound more dramatic than it is of course, even though the rear suspension fails, over dips and stuff in the road the rear wheels will still camber in a little, so he can have alittle poke going on if he wants. just work on those fenders.

Just because it is stepping outside of the "cookie cutter" idea of rim swaps doesn't mean it looks good.

I'm a fan of the rims, just not on the car. My opinion means squat though, it's not my car or cash. You like them, then awesome man! I mod my car to what I like so you continue to do the same. Plus what do I know, I actually like the stock 17's on my 02 SE.

I would rather have someone tell me that they don't like something about my car than lie about it. To be completely honest with you, I value other people's opinions. There's been several instances where someone said to me that this or that looked lame about my car. After much thought, I realized that some of it had some truth to it. At the end, yes, it is my car, my money. However, constructive criticism goes a long way.

Hmm... let's test that philosophy. I think you should ditch those license plate frames. They're too bling, and you don't need something non-stock declaring the car is a "Maxima" in stamped chrome. We know it's a Maxima.

This is a test. In the case of a real emergency...

Yeah. I definetely need to send you some newer photos. I ditched that frame like 6 months ago. I 100% agree with that one.
