the sound difference is so minimal, its not even worth mentioning... plus i am also on a messed up muffler so really there might not even be a difference... no performance difference

I would think performance would be almost exactly the same, and unless the OBX's that are technically for the 3.5 are in by summer, I'll be going with the ones for the 95-01 that have an unequal Y.
there is somethings you gotta understand with this forum, things will be excessively exaggerated, e.g " my FSTB made so much of a difference i take corners at 300mph", " this same header thing we are talking about", " a certain coilover is so sorry that it broke in two and disappeared" people do hype the sound of the unequal length Y based on what they hear... i do believe sparks now have unequal length 3" Y, let him post a video of how it sounds with his cattman exhaust

Haha, oh I know Good to know though that these'll be good.

Does anyone have any ballpark estimates as to the following:

-What will the gains be with OBX headers and stock exhaust?
-What will the gains be with OBX headers + test pipe + 2.5 inch cat-back?
-What will the gains be with OBX headers + test pipe + 3 inch cat-back?

There is a sound difference between an equal length y and an unequal length y. Check out my thread...

Check out the vids on post 20.

(I still plan on doing that I said in the thread, just waiting to get the flange welded)

**Bump** ... sorry to be obnoxious, but I'd really like some answers. It's hard to find conclusive answers in search to my questions in post 45... Thanks!

Does anyone have any ballpark estimates as to the following:

-What will the gains be with OBX headers and stock exhaust?= 10-12whp
-What will the gains be with OBX headers + test pipe + 2.5 inch cat-back?=15-22whp
-What will the gains be with OBX headers + test pipe + 3 inch cat-back?=20-30whp
now all of those are just guestimates... its good gains and you need to dyno and see the effect they have on your car

huh... I thought the initial gain from headers would be more, and the others add smaller amounts...

It is really hard to estimate the gains you will have. It depends how your car responds to the headers and what your AFR's look like.

With a tune, some people gain another 10hp.
