Tranny Stop Leak???

Tranny Stop Leak???

Anyone suggesting using it?? I got a 00 5MT and its either the input shaft or the passanger side axle seal and i dont want to change them out just yet( holdin out for the clutch job) Its not a heavy leak just its wet under the tranny. Doesnt leave stain on the ground or anything. Just wondering what you guys think????

from my experience with fluids such as these ive used them before and they temporarily stop it(about a month).

A little leak is no big deal. Just check the differential gear oil level periodically and don't sweat the small stuff.

i would either do nothing or change the seals. I have to do my drivers side seal this spring

The thing is me and a couple buddies are goin to teh track next saturday and i dont want it to fail tech inspection, like i said doesnt leave a mark on the ground but you can see it very prominently if you look underneath!.....hmmm

if it doesn't leave a mark it isn't leaking very much at all. Mine leaves a little drop everywhere i go and it drives me crazy but i have been topping it off every oil change and it only takes about half a quart every 5000 miles. I would just get under there with a rag and wipe off whatever is down there before you go to tech and you will be golden

AT-205 Re Seal, It works very well .
Get the pour in stuff, Not the Aerosol can.
It fixed my output shaft seal and its been 4 months now dry, Since i cant get a new seal from work and the stealership is a 2 hour drive.

It says any type of oil except fuel, so it will work in a manual.

i have to try and find this stuff, there is a small parts store in teh next town over that is a distibutor.....ill go take a look

cool information. my M/T has drippage alonr the bell housing and overnight leaves maybe 2-3 drops, i kinda thought Lucas made some M/T seal, but i only see they have it for A/T.

I have used the Lucas p/s seal and wow that stuff works great! Used it in my old Sentra and after about a week the p/s drips were gone...


i'm gonna look into AT205 reseal
