AUTOMATIC 2000 Maxima with MANUAL mounts?

hey do u guys think it would be okay if i put manual mounts on a automatic nissan maxima ? i found some manual ones for cheap so i bought them.

the reason i asked is because i heard the automatics have electronic mounts but i wasnt able to find any so i was planning on putting on some ES poly urethane mount inserts on the manual ones and slapping them on to my automatic.

what do you guys think ? whats the good/bad effect of doing this ?

thank you all for your time and any help is greatly appreciated.

they are the same mounts just one has a sensor in it. you might feel a little more vibration at idle without the electronic

beans, would it be like ruff vib or similar to what i feel wheel my car is at a stop light ? cos if so its not so bad.

i also just remembered i opened a thread like last year and its doing decent. check it out it was similar to this one but that is asking about unplugging electronic ones and this thread is covering simply replacing and swapping the electronic ones for manual ones.

if anything the other thread is here.

I disconnected both of my mounts, but didn't replace them.

There is more vibration, but only at low revs, between about 1200 and 2000 RPM. At higher than 2000 RPM, I can't tell the difference.

The increased noise is a deep rumble. If you think about the very first signs of a small hole forming in the exhaust, then you'll get the idea. It's not terrible. My girlfriend doesn't even notice.

Perhaps I'll get used to it with time. However, at the moment, it does bug me a little. So, I'm interested to know how your approach works out, using regular mounts.

so Rus i have a question for you. when you change gears from drive to reverse wit hthe mounts unplugged do you feel the engine bay sorta throw its self forward (drive) or backwards (reverse) like can u hear it and feel the gear shift changes ?

i unplugged mines and though im no longer worried about my ecu frying and the mounts do handle better than when they were plugged in, they are still too sloppy for my liking. i rather have some vibration in the steering wheel at idle if it means my component under my engine bay are safe. however i dont want my entire cabin to feel like its vibrating. ya know ?

i know its a long-shot but does anyone have any video for comparison by chance ?

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for...

I have solid mounts and the vibration isn't much of anything to me. You can visible see the wheel vibrate and hear the grumble, but after a while of driving it you don't even notice it. It is similar to an old auto tranny in gear at a stop or if you've been in a V8 dodge/jeep at idle.

If you can actually feel the sloshing of the motor when shifting, then you need new mounts period, imo. To do a quick test to see the amount of play involved open the hood and rev the engine. If the engine is rocking like 1/2" or more, then you really need new mounts. It'll probably tear up the flex pipe before too long, too.

i have 4 electric mounts so i dont think i would need anymore.

this whole discussion is past the electric mounts faze as i am not interested in electronic mounts i have moved on and the new subject is about manual mounts with ES bushings on a automatic car.
