2001 se trailing arm bushings
2001 se trailing arm bushings
i just noticed that the rear trailing arm bushings on my 2001 se are leaking oil on both sides ,,, right and left,,strange that both are leaking at the same time,,the whole undercarriage is dry except for those two bushings,,,is it normal for those bushings to contain any type of oil,,,there s a slight clunking sound when i drive over small bumps,,anyone ever had that experience ,,and what does it cost to have it repaired,,,any feedback is appreciated
This is somewhat common, the bushings are oil filled and will leak. You can leave them, not recommonded IMO, or replace them with ES Poly bushing.

rear trailing arm bushings on my 2002 se
Hey Everyone,
I had my rear trailing arm bushings replaced on my 2002 se (ES POLY) by a mechanic. Ever since they have been replaced I have been hearing a creaking noise in the rear of the car when i go over bumps.... as anyone experienced this issue?
I spoke to the mechanic who installed them and he told me that they fit like a glove and they were nice an tight when he did the install. He suggested i install grease nipples on both sides in order to keep them greased. But i also read somewhere that we shouldn't put grease on those bushings.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
