so i bought the MimoUSA reverse glow gauge to hook up to my 00 Max and i wanted to know if any body has connected the black and red wire to the the headlight power supply in the dash? Following a write up and when i looked at the wires from my headlight signal they are both black, so where exactly am i suppose to go, don't wnat to make a mistake. ANy takers?

 

well i have installed this item. i did a terrible write-up for it 5yrs ago, but no one seemed interested so i did not add more to it.

how does the install go again? you have three wires on the kit; one for the power, one for the ground, and one to dim them when you turn on your headlights (right?)

hey so I screwed the Negative to the bolt on the ground wire that u show on ur pic and i shved the blue and red wire and wrapped around the red wire. I had scrwed everything back and was ready to go. everything was working fine until all of a sudden my radio went out, i tried to start my car and it wont crank. what the heck did i do? i'm gonna call AAA to see if they can start it up with a battery jump, My battery is about less than a year and a half, and it was working fine all this time. is that thing sucking to much juice or should I grounded right> did i short something out? HLp!

update:

looks i had let the radio play for too long i didn;t relaize the time and i must of run the battery low, cuz i went back 10 min later and it cranked up, so i'm good now, Just got to figure out how to integrate the control switch into my dash.

 

ahh that is good it wasnt a wiring issue.

what is the control switch for again? changing the color from green to blue, or something like that?

 

yea thanks for sending me the info Ephraim! the control switch changes the color and dims and brightens the glow .I'm tring to see how install it to the dash. just not sure, hopefully someone can gimme ideas when i go to stillen this weekend. thanks again ! u hlped me complete this project.
