I love the deep rumble at idle. Not so much when rev'd in neutral, but that's almost always the case with parked audio clips. I bet it sounds beautiful under load on the fly-by.

How in the world did you get a Frankencar exhaust? Man, that's rare. For a moment I thought this was a 3-year old thread that got bumped.

You should take a picture of the exhaust tips. They've got the logo engraved, don't they?

You do not hear rasp in this video? I did not imply that all test pipes give off rasp, but I don't hear any sound other than rasp and exhaust pops that would identify it as having a test pipe over a cat.

There we go exactly my point.... What you are hearing, Grandhustle, is rasp. Rasp does not mean it does or doesn't have a test pipe, it just means it's raspy. In this case, it's raspy because it has no resonator.

What the-...???! I'm confused... Do we LIKE rasp these days?? Looks good, but sounds like a melon shooter... I would DEFINITELY invest in a resonator. Try ebay for a 22" Magnaflow Resonator. They're like $70 or so.

Now I'm not saying everyone has to have a Cattman 3" catback, but THIS is the sound of true beauty, just to compare (if you listen really closely at around :29 seconds or so, you can hear the angels singing):

Go for it. If there were any reason for me to dump my Cattman, it would only be for a 3" setup. Good luck getting your hands on the Frankencar. I don't know if it's any better or worse than Cattman, it's just rare, and rare is cool. Plus, the tips are sexy.

That's why I liked the sound better just sitting at idle.

Yup my exhuast sounded pretty dam close to your setup when i had stock headers, and cats. Here's a clip but sorry for the really poor quailty. (cell phone).

I'm sensing more than a little pride here... so why sell?

Saw you zoom in on the tips. I realized now what it is I like about those dual-tips so much. It's the rolled edges, the way the polished metal folds over and bends into the pipe. I think Magnaflow dual-tips are like that, too... not sure. I know my Cattman's aren't.

It's a small detail, but we're a detail-oriented crowd, after all.

btw, "stock headers"? Um, no.

Yea bro Im selling it cause i need the moeny and know how rare they are. ANd by the why this is an old video the whole exhaust system stock(headers, cats, y-pipe, piping). All i did was remove the resonator in this video.

I like the double wall tips even more than the rolled ones...

Man, that's pretty, Sparks. What are they? (make & model) Not sure where my opinion is on the angle-cut opening. I kind of like the straight cut look. Do you think my cattman tips could be cut off and something like this welded on it its place?

That's just a generic pic I pulled from google images, but you can find double walled tips all over the place from pretty much any manufacturer who makes tips. I'd check summit first, they tend to have good prices. They are pricey though.

Here's one:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/IMM-577554/

Then the pricey magnaflow ones

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-35122/

Here's an even more pricey magnaflow one (rolled edge instead of angle cut)

Yea double wall tips are nice "sparks". My Brother got a good deal for them. This pic is kinda far but you can see how the wall makes it look big. These are 3.5 inch tips. from maganaflow.

Does the left side stick out more than the right, or is that just the picture angle?

The Frankencar sounds beautiful. They are pretty rare because the company had horrible business practices (nice guy though) and the catback didn't make good power gains as it had a fairly restrictive muffler.
