Tein SS Coilovers

Alright guys i was gunna get the Megan coilovers and i saved up a little more and now i have money to get the Teins. My question is that the Teins are only 16 way adjustable and the other brand coilovers are 32 or 36 way adjustable, im a suspension NOOB so I was wondering if the Megans have an advantage over the teins? which is best for a DD maxima? What else would i need with the tein coils?
also i got a price quote for $1100

Thanks for all the help

Exactly^ Dont worry about the number of adjustments. It's basically just hard, medium, and stiff for the most part.

You want more low? go megan.

You want better ride quality and longevity? go Tien.

Check out BC racing coilovers also, it's in the same price range but rides awsome, is of good quality, and you can go lower than tiens.

We are not saying megans are crap cause they are not but its like comparing nissan with benz bmw and lexus, its not that nissan is crap but the class u put it in its just not as good... I think I'm leaning (if not already sold) on the BC coilovers... I really would love to get some new Boss Chens but it seems like everything I want is no longer made... anyways, Tein or BC's very good choices... whichever you like better between the two

Brand new the teins will be the softest which go PLENTY low. I'm hoping you aren't one of those (let's max out our coilovers to look cool type people). Go with the tein, you won't have any regrets.

Exactly, both are amazing from what i've read. You'll be beyond happy with either one.

You won't really save money buying from anywhere if new... Ebay is my guess but those are even 1100-1500 for teins I beleive. Varying in models...

You better do it fast...I tried to get some last year and it was on backorder for months. Right now it's on limited stock: http://www.tein.com/stock/west/nissan.htm. It will take a while for it to get off backorder again once it's out of stock. I couldn't wait anymore and went with BC Racing instead.

Aren't these for "off road use" only? (Reference http://www.tein.com/tech_info/inst/kp20u.pdf) Will the car pass inspection with the coilovers installed?

after a certain drop the car will fail inspection... doubt you need to mod your car with inspection in mind though... wont go too far

Technically, no coilover brand is supposed to be used for street purposes. I think Tein just uses that statement as a disclaimer or something. They know some people are going to use them for daily driving anyway.

its like everybody that makes headers have the "off road use only" disclaimer, they know that it will be used daily and make em to be used daily but its just a cover their **** kinda statement, if it was meant for off road only then why make em for a grocery getter... if your worried about those things then i suggest leaving the car stock

They have this option for other vehicles, but not one for our cars.

Too bad Bing.com doesn't have their cashback offer for ebay at this time. You could wait till they bring that back. Last time they had it, it was 8% cashback.

I'm probably going to put Teins on my car here pretty soon. Tein SSs, Brembo blanks all around, and stainless steel brake lines are scheduled for this month.
