I was watching the Suns game last night. About 10 minutes after it ended there was a knock at the door, my buddy opens the door and there is this guy, obviously stoned. He stares at us, says oops sorry wrong house.

I hear a car starting, a loud bang, my car alarm and there I was. The guy had pulled into our driveway and since my roommate had friends over I had to park opposite my driveway and the guy backed right into my car. Of course by the time I went outside he already went around the corner so I couldn't see his car... just lovely

Ouch! Man, I love your car, esp. w/ the 19" Rays. Thats so damn retarded. I absolutely hate it when people don't take responsibility for their mistakes. That's life I guess.

That's when jump in the car, fly down the street, catch their asses, a beating ensues, then you call the cops. And tell the cops they were bloody when you found them

Damn that sucks, F"ing high/drunk creep. You can't have nothing now a days....... Man make sure you find a good place to match that paint since your car is Pearl White! Or try Car-part.com as they may have a door in your color someplace for sale.

Nope, liability only. I'm a good driver haha. I'm only 22 so geico quoted me $1600 for full coverage / six months

yeah I figured getting a white one that's in decent condition and doing some touch up work is WAY cheaper than prepping and spraying that stupid tri-coat.

1600....those insurance companies are for high risk drivers that can't get it anywhere else.

Mine was 600 for 6 months full coverage in my early 20s...

McSteve, you have my sympathy, and a healthy dose of respect for the way you're handling this misfortune with humor. If it were me, I'd be in a deep depression for weeks. It's not just a car, it's your hobby and it's personal.

Best of luck to you on the repairs.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

I bought a door from a junkyard and man does the color mismatch!!!!
Maybe I'll take my old one to be straightened out and touched up.

After fixing i also noticed a couple issues on the inside. It seems from 2001 to 2002 they changed a couple connectors at the window regulator harness. I can't open and close my passenger window and can't lock the car using the lock button. The buttons also don't illuminate.

Wow, that was fast!

Your Infiniti is pearl white, right? That color tends to deepen and darken over time, looking more shell-like over the years. It looks like your junkyard door was sitting on the shelf or out of the sun for a long time... very white, closer to the original color.

I had a 99 Maxima in pearl white, and had a similar mismatch after painting the rear bumper. It's a really difficult color to match.

You mean to say that your passanger side windows button, If you press it one time down it rolls down automatic and you don't have to hold it down. I don't think so buddy.

I press it one time down and let go... it rolls all the way down.

I press it one time up and let go... it rolls all the way up.

I can do it from the passenger seat or the driver seat. I can take a pic if you want. Or better yet a video.

I have no idea, but mine is far from fully loaded. It's not even an i30-t. Every other 00-01 i30 i've been in had auto up and down on both sides too.

maybe your friend has maxima doors on it? I mean they are the same doors. It even says AUTO on the buttons....

also the new door had body color door handles, mine had chrome, so maybe those were all options.
