It is good to be aggressive in preventive maintainence when it comes to anything that is moving and many a times the tranny is left out.
15K for drain and fill and 30K for a complete flush. Choose OEM, Castrol Import MV ATF, Toyota T-IV, Mercon V (stay away from regular Dexron/Mercon), Amsoil, RL etc.
I hope you do a flush since that will get 80-90% of the old ATF out the first time.

I used mobil 1 and got all (nearly) of the fluid out without putting any back in to rinse it.
I followed a how-to on here and it was perfect. I disconnected the cooler line at the radiator after dropping the pan and shifted through the gears a few times real slow. It blew out the stuff remaining. Just make sure you use a good amount of RTV on the gasket and check the bolts after you drive awhile. If they're not tight enough they will loosen and blow the gasket. But don't over tighten or they could strip. A new "filter" is not necessary. It doesn't filter anything except large particles and mine was completely clean at 124k miles (yes, scary mileage to change, I know). If there's anything in it you're gonna need a new tranny anyway haha.
