Wheel squeek when turning...
I am having a problem and I hope someone can help me.
When ever I turn my wheel slightly, at any speed, I hear a high pitched squeek.
At first it only used to happen when I turn left, but now it does it no matter which way I turn the wheel.
If I turn the wheel right, the driver's side wheel squeeks. If I turn the wheel left, the passenger's side wheel squeeks.
The passenger side wheel bearing and hub has been replaced, and the axle nut was torqued to 240 ft/lbs.
The squeek is not too loud, but it is clearly audible.
If I am driving at say, 40 MPH, and I throw the car into neutral and turn the wheel, it still squeeks.
The squeek is related to the wheel speed.
If I turn the wheel past a certain point, the squeek stops.
I am guessing it is my wheel bearings, but it's really random that they would both start to go bad at the same time.
Is it possible to lubricate the wheel bearings, or are they a sealed unit?
I can't think of anything else that it could be, because nothing else really spins down there.

I'm pretty sure the wheel bearings are sealed, so you can't lube them. Have you checked your CV joints? They make squeeking type noise also. If the rubber boot around them is torn, this could very possibly be it.
