White Stuff in Fuel tank PICS!!

Someone decided to mess with my car and pour something into the gas tank. Thought id share with everyone how messed up everything can get. It got all of the way up to the fuel injectors. Thousands of dollars later, shes back to life. Here are some pics.

Hard to see, but this is the inside of the gas tank

Fuel Pump

Fuel Pump

Crusty stuff up at the fuel injectors

Gas from gas tank (looks like milk)

And yes the other day i purchased a locking gas cap.

geez!!!... some people have nothing better to do. Did your insurance cover the repair/clean up expenses?

One of the selling features for the 07 Maxima when I was looking. I saw the buick, Taurus, G8, all three didn't have the locking cover, they were off the list that quick. Max had it, and on the drivers side so I could see immediately if someone tampered with it...Such a basic feature, ALL cars should have it.

yeah i had a $1000 deductible so i went through insurance. Still waiting on how much they will cover given that my mechanic got a new gas tank, when he could have gotten a used one and such. I live in chester, PA currently which is pretty much poverty city. People have nothing better to do.

There also is several cops that live on my street and said that cars on my street have been getting keyed and stupid sh*t like that. If i ever found out who had done this, they wouldnt be doing it anymore thats for sure

^^makes one re-think the locking gas cap option for our cars. I know it's an added hassle for the owner, but it's also another layer of security against vandals and thieves.

No sh!+!!!
I wonder if there was an easy pick for that, or did they use a magnet to reset the latch...wow man, no forced entry marks!!! Never heard of anyone slim-jimin' a gas cover, but now you got me thinking I'm not safe anymore either!!!

Looks like someone deserves an as$ beating. I can't stand looking at this kinda crap. Some people have nothing better to do in their lives than make others miserable. I really hope you find out who did it.

Man, 3 weeks in the shop and the kind of moola shelled out to repair the damage, I would expect to have a squeaky clean fuel system for a long time. I wouldn't mess with seafoam in the fuel system if I were you.

Why do you live in Chester?? Do you go to school there? People just don't respect other people's things. Sorry to see what happened!
