i got an 02 3.5 se and i currently have a catback and dying to get a y-pipe. i heard great things. my question is which one to get? how much am i looking at? and how much hp or torque increase will i be looking to get i did the search an everything but i hear like 15hp then again i see 6-7 hp??

You must have been searching the 3.0s because a y-pipe will not give you 15hp alone. You want a header y-pipe combo

 

Yeah, don't get Y-pipe alone for the 02-03. You need to get header/y-pipe combo cuz the precats for the 5.5 gen are in the headers, and eliminating those gives you the best gains. The only headers available for the 5.5 right now that fit perfect and give really good gains are Cattman. There are other options (OBX, or shorty headers that don't fit right and don't give very good gains), but Cattman is the best. I believe the Cattman Header/Y-Pipe combo is $795.

 

ok so what would i be looking at for just the y pipe hp wise. cuz i dont have the money for the headers

 

Save up. Y-pipe only on a 5.5 gen is near pointless. Or spend your money elsewhere.
