How much are you getting them for by the way
D2s run stiffer spring rates than the Megan Racings, so Megan will probably ride smoother.
Other than that they're both monotube damper, pillowball mounts up front etc. If there are a lot of crap roads around you, you could get the Megans.
Something you should consider is that D2 coilovers are rebuildable and you can get custom spring rates for them as well (I don't think Megans are rebuildable - someone correct me). I have D2s on my car and I'm happy with them.

i can get the D2's for $780 and the Megans for $830.
thats why im leaning towards D2 cause there rebuildable.
is the ride and everything good with your experience with the D2's? any noise?

Since you getting them brand new in the box, you shouldn't have any noise, prep them before putting them on by dropping some 3-in-1 oil into the front pillowball mounts and you'll be good. D2 has great customer service also.

I got my Megan coilovers from raceinspired.com for 750 last year. They still ride nice n firm and im slammed to the floor on NYC streets. Just remember to really grease up the Pillow ball mount really good before you install. Havent had a squeek or clunk @ all.

Well let me add my 2 cents LOL. I just ordered my Megan Racing Street Series coilovers from JM Auto racing for $850. I'm happy with the buy and product I well be getting soon. I've talked with Megan Racing before I made the purchase. The coilovers ARE rebuildable, but its not a service! You call them up, tell them the component that has failed or broken and you can order that part from them. They are very easy coilovers to tray down if you have to.

Yeah, I just dug this up because I got tired of peeps on the org telling me to stop starting threads on subjects already discussed. Lol.
Well back to the topic, I keep getting good things about megans from peeps on the org and also some that have megans on other rides other than maximas, but the people I know personally keep saying that they are "crap" in their opinion. So how do I decide from there, of course experience > word of mouth is best, but a small part of me is being kept thinking twice...

i havent tried megans, bcs are the only ones i've ridden on but contact djfrestyl on here, he's done many suspensions and he's said that the ride on megans are pretty good..better than d2s and base ksport coilovers

ive got d2s and no issues. you can click through mine and see how low i sit. i keep the rear slightly raised for when i put my stereo **** in during the summer, but the front is pretty low. handles alot better than the spring setup i ran on here and on my 4th gen. wouldnt go back to a spring setup after riding on these. and grandhustles commented on the ride as has manny *datdude*

well i'm deciding to go with Megan Racing coilovers. Considering i will be getting these for about 750 or so. I did have someone out here in SoCal trying to sell me his Tein Basics for...well i wont go into details about pricing, but it was less than the Megans. I tell him I'm going to have the money next week and he backed out of the sale...so uh....Megans it is.

I have D2's and love them, the ride isn't really uncomfortable (at least for me). I can definitly feel the bumps and **** a lot more but like I said its not unbearable. And the most important part the handling is phenomenal. The turns I used to be able to take at like 70 (highway on ramps/off) I can now take at 85 plus and feel completely safe the car goes exactly where you want it to, no more body roll and all those things. Hope this helps!

That said, the SS coilovers are worth the money IMO if you plan to keep the car for a long time, or if you live in cold climates and drive the car in the winter.

Correct SS is the only Tein product I'd put on the Maxima, the rest are a waste of money compared to the competition that sells better products cheaper.

No most of my opinions are based on research and talking to people that have different COs.
I've heard amazing things about the BC's, I was getting ready to buy them when I found a used set of SS's shipped to me for less than the BC's so I jumped on it, no regrets.
