how low can you go ?

Just wondering how low we can set the timing on a 5.5 gen. Trying to pass emissions. Last time I retarded down to ten degrees, but wondering how low I can go before the car will run like crap. I know spec is 15-20 but it will only be for about five minutes.

IIRC factory spec is 10-20, (15 +/- 5)

I'd say it would idle like poop. But other than that if only for 5 mins it should be fine. Would this be using the emanage blue?

Running lean doesn't work?

I'm curious, even though I'll never have to do emissions

Lean makes emissions worse, too much NoX. Lean runs hot and running hot equals more Nox. But too much un-ignited fuel will cause a fail as well assuming it is too rich.

Well, think I am going to change the plugs to one step colder, run 94 octane, get the air filter cleaned and see if that helps.

BTY Manny, I'll be using autoenginuity. Then I have to figure how to get the ecu back to 15 so I can bump it back to 17 with autoenginuity.
