wow dude are you ok? But i dont know, ive seen less damaged cars be "totaled" by the insurance, but from a fixing standpoint doesnt look too bad. Radiator doesnt look hit, so now you can get a carbon fiber hood, and new bumper and grill. shop wisely might be looking at less than 1500 if you do the work yourself. But i cant really see inside the engine bay too well

*** On second thought, yea i see the radiator bent, and look like some bending on the support, so i cant say

core support definitely moved back from what I can see, I mean, the hood is still latched, so it's definitely several inches back, but it doesn't mean the radiator itself is finished.

Looks like at the very least it could be made driveable for little to no money. I'd find a new hood and headlights first, you'd be surprised at how well you can straighten a core support yourself using a tow strap, another vehicle and a hammer (I have experience), and then as you save up, the grill and bumper can be replaced later.

Sorry this question is a little unrelated to the thread but did your Maxima come with the 3.5 SE badge on the side or was that something you added yourself? Looks pretty nice and I don't recall seeing that on the side of mine

Yeah atleast nobody was injured.I was sitting in a line of traffic at a red light and when we proceded to go after the light changed for some reason the guy in front of me stopped really fast and for that split second I reached for a cig and WHAM.He was driving a Ford Escape with a trailor hitch and with me being lowered anyway= my pics.He had barely a few scrapes while my front end bit the dust.I do have full coverage insurance with rental car and towing but I am still sooooo pissed off right now cuz I sorta just got the car ready for the summertime

Actually I found them on Ebay some time ago.I believe the guy is a member on here or NYCMaximas by the name of maxmojo or something like that.I know alot of people dont really care for stickers on the car and actually I dont either but I thought these looked good for some reason.

To me that doesn't look that bad as long as the frame is okay and the suspension should be a pretty easy fix and glad your okay!!

It doesn't look like there is any frame damage. Looks like you are at:
Hood
Left and Right Head Lights
Bumper
Passenger Air Bag

The best thing is that the quarter panels survived. If those went, you'd be looking up G35's now.

doesnt look too bad u can probably fix it for around $500 if u do the work urself and find the rite parts and dont need to paint, but if u have a shop do it it'll probably cost anyways between $1000 to $2000 depending on the shop

same thing happened to me with my monte carlo i used to have, smacked the back of a minivan in a split sec while not paying attention like that half asleep in the morning ended up with the same wreck as you, spent around $275 at a junk yard for parts (cheaper parts for chevys then max's tho) and $450 to get it all together at a shop cuz there was frame damage (yea cheap huh the a-hole did it while his boss was home sick, hid the car, and pocketed the money, i had no idea until he didnt want to give me a reciept , he explained then)

Your in for more than just the 'external' parts - as I can see from at least two of the pics that the radiator is bent - so add that and a pair of fans, and the shroud to your list of parts.

Glad that you and your family are not hurt, that's the important car. Sad to see it happen - your Maxima was really clean and nice looking a few weeks ago when I saw it.

Headlights look ok. Plastic is intact. Tabs look broken, but you may be able to jury-rig something. That's a couple hundred bucks right there.

Fenders look fine. Front bumper at least from these pics doesn't seem to have any breaks in it, just scuffs and stuff. Grille and hood are toast though, as is the radiator core supports (upper and lower), the rad, and probably the fans.

You may be able to get away with a new grille and hood, jury-rig the headlights, and pull the radiator core support back into position.

Is that Koyo radiator group deal still going? Might be able to get a good price on one of those and save some coin.

A low speed hit that's probably going to cost around $3000 to $3800 at best guess. Not a lot of damage, but a bunch of parts and paint that will nickel and dime you over $3000 any day of the week.

Shouldn't total out. My guess as to bluebook replacement value is at least $8000, which would put you at less then 50% even on the high side for repair.

Let insurance pay for it all, that's what you pay for. And quit smoking, haven't you heard those things can kill you!?!

If the headlights need replaced that's 600 minimum right there. 250 for the hood, 250 for radiator support, 250 for bumper cover, 125 grill, 350 for airbag, 125 seat belt, 100 airbag reset, 125 radiator, 125 condenser, 150 fans, yeah about 500 i guess...

Depending on the mileage and random damage it could easily be Totaled.

And yeah it's weird that the driver bag didn't blow.

let me make it clear that i meant around $500 if he found the parts from a part out or something that were the rite color and he put them in himself i thought i said that n i thought the headlights were ok

^^^You are correct.Insurance did infact total the car out. They paid off the remainder of my loan and now am in the process of finding something else.I have to pick up my tag off the vehicle and I guess retire my "maxnout" license plate since the 5.5 was the last generation that I really liked.I will miss this car VERY much and don't look forward to getting my tag tomorrow but time must go on
