Z32/Cobra BBK Questions
Okay, so I can't find my answers anywhere by searching...
For those who went BBK on a 5th gen, you are supposed to bore out the holes on one side of the bracket to fit the stock bolts. Anyone remember what size it was needed to be?
Also, for the Z32s, my calipers didn't come with the stock bolts, did you guys go through the dealership for OEM or go with something via HD/Lowes?

I don't remember bolt sizes, but yes, you are supposed to bore out the holes on the special brackets in order to make the bolts fit. As far as bolts, I actually went to a fastener store to get them. The bolts also had to be cut in length as I could not find bolts short enough to fit. Don't forget lock washers and thread locker.

Ok i know this is not the same subject. I was looking at my BBK which includes Z32 4 pots and 13'' cobra rotors. I looked at my brakes today and i noticed that not all of the pad is making contact on the rotor. Here are a few pics of what i'm talking about. Is this normal? Sorry for hijacking your thread but makes it easier for anyone in the future to search.

So I'm finally trying to get the bolts for this, and I am having the toughest luck. I was able to grab ONE Z32 caliper bolt at a local dealer (no others have them and would have to be ordered). Tried to take it to a fastener store and they couldn't match the threads. I'm at a loss as I'd like to have these purchased locally and not have to order them so I can install ASAP.

If your calipers are brand new (or remanufactured by a retailer), chances are that when they refinished the caliper, the paint (or whatever coating they use on the caliper) got into the threads and hardened. This causes the bolt not to thread cleanly through or not at all sometimes which makes you think that you have the wrong thread.
Just go to any hardware or auto parts store and but an M12 x1.25 tap. You dont have to drill anything, just put the tap on a wratchet and slowly work it all the way through the caliper bolt hole. This will push all that crap out of the threads so the bolt can go in smooth.
If you cant find a bolt short enough, just thread a nut on the bolt all the way through before you put it through the caliper bracket. Then put your lock washer on like normal. This just effectively shotens the bolt.

The bolt size is "m12 x1.25"

I didnt have to do any of that. Im perfect........
JK same issues here, except I installed mine and they didnt clear my staggered wheels, so i had to buy a new set....... of wheels fail.
