Trouble Shoot leak w/ Pics

Hey Guys,

I noticed a leak recently coming from below the oil pan, however it occurs so infrequently i have yet to actually "see" the drop. I decided to lift the car and at first glance i assume it's possibly the oil pan going bad since i see oil near and around the pan, but oddly enough i look further above and see it also on the bolts from the suspension (not sure what it's called but its circled in the second image). I then decided to get a before and after to better isolate were this leak is coming from, and decided to clean all and around the suspected area to hopefully narrow the drip pattern tomorrow.

I then noticed looking up at the engine bay a similar oily substance on a tube.

After tracing it i noticed it lead to the power stearing resuvior, which seems to be caked in black. Now i'm suspecting it might be powersteering fluid.

Thoughts anyone?

Hey Steve,

Thanks for the input. So thats the power steering oil cooler hard pipe huh? I'll start with replacing that since based on the images looks like it needs a little attention .

Anyone else have thoughts about the oil near the pan and suspension?

I think he's referring to the engine oil cooler hard pipe that runs underneath the pulleys. That power steering hose leak is probably just a bad clamp-mine was. Replace it with a worm gear type and see.
