How to get Valve Body back in??!

I removed my valve body to replace the solenoids, and now I can't seem to get it to fit back in! I know I have to have the spring in there, and the shift mechanism lined up... but no amount of jiggling it around helps! It's a really tight, exact fit... just wondering if anyone has experience with this, and if there are any tricks to getting the stupid thing back in?
Thanks

The shifter arm is not going to move when you try to lift the valve body up to the case. You have to angle the VB in, first the shifter end, then the filter end. Put your bolts in order on the ground next to you, and get one of the 2 longest ones in hand. Wiggle the VB a little in case you didnt get it lined up right, but be extra careful not to mess up the o-rings on the case. You may need to pull the VB down to check these before you jam it in there. Hope this helps....I've done it a few times now.

Sorryyy....the two longest bolts go through the filter's edge. Thread one of those in first partially to hold it up.

By shifter end, do you mean the front end? And filter end is the back? Or do you mean left side first and then right? Gah! This is the biggest pain ever!

im sure you've gotten it in by now, but or future reference, put your car in neutral before removing the vb, makes re-install much easier.
