Smog issues with headers

Well, i tried to smog it with just the rear cat (magnaflow-hiflow cat), i got a HC-110ppm. I went a bought a cal spec cat for 300 bones and got that # down to 60. I finally had to take my headers and y-pipe off and put on the stock ones and passed with a HC of 11ppm. You need a 35ppm or lower to pass.

Has anyone tried to run 2 catalytic converters (one in front of the other with headers?

Has anyone experienced the same problem i had smoging with headers?

Took me 10hrs to change out the headers with stock ones, what a PIA. Dont know if i am going to put my headers back on, too much work.

It wasn't with my Maxima, but to get my Camaro past, I would put in two bottles of dry gas to squeeze it by.
