BONEHEAD MOVE - NEED ADVICE
BONEHEAD MOVE - NEED ADVICE
I decided to give my interior a really good detailing. As part of this, I disconnected the gauge cluster to really give it a solid cleaning. Not even thinking to worry about marking the location of the needles, they did get a little jostled as I cleaned the gauge faces.
When I reconnected everything, my needles were at a complete standstill. I attempted to recalibrate them in a write up I found here, but still nothing. I also read that an ECU reset could fix the issue, but I would hate to lose my re-flash data. IS there anything else I can do, or am I screwed? Any advice you guys might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you plugged all the harnesses at the back of the cluster in?.....100% until you heard it "clicK"? Doing that to your gauges shouldn't kill them like that. Even if you wrecked its accuracy...the needles should still move.
Ever since I drilled the back of mine to put 194 LED bulbs, sometimes my tach needle doesnt work when I start it up. But a a couple of light taps on the plastic face and it works again.
Any updates on this thread, aside from the month old bump.
Just an FYI, you wont lose your reflash data if you're referring to a TS Flash. You will only lose it if you got a new ECU or sent it back to TS so they can return it back to stock.

sorry for the delay, fellas. had a death in the family and i haven't really been around. thanks for the info so far; checked the connections and the readouts are still kind of goofy. the tach seems okay, but the speedo is off by about 10-11 MPH. the gas and temp gauge are still dead in the water. do you think a reflash will do the trick?
