UDP… Again.

First of all, I’ve searched with due diligence and think there may be a more definitive answer out there.

If you have a UDP on your 5th Gen, I’d like to know what you think of it. Was it worth the money to you?

I’m interested in your opinion ONLY IF YOU HAVE ONE on your 5TH GEN. I’ve read all the theoretical discussions and want to know what people’s actual experiences are.

Also, the idea that 5-speeds might not respond as well as autos has come up, so please, post your TRANNY type with your opinion.

Thanks in advance!

I added a UDP to my auto max when I had a y-pipe, intake, and RT cat already. After adding the UDP, I did feel it. The engine revs up quicker, especially in first gear. Also, it seemed to reduce the auto 'lag' that you feel when punching it. All in all, I like it. I say get it only if you already have the main mods like intake and y-pipe.

I got the UDP and did notice a slight difference. I noticed that coming out of first and second my gears would rev a little quicker. By no means is this mod earth shattering but it does help our automagics a little. I wil be getting the VB Mod done soon so hopefully that will help a little more.

I had one, can I make a comment?

I agree with Nauman's (UMD_MaxSE) comment.

Just like how I didn't really feel any performance gains with the y-pipe. To each their own.
