I think I mentioned I would like to see a brushed alum. and gunmetal before but....I like to see one maybe the same color as the factory grill. Chrome, alum. color might be nice for GLE's and GXE's chrome border but for SE's I would like to see the factory grill color. If thats askin for too much, sorry... I was just thinkin if the trends grill doesn't have the border and uses the factory border I would kinda want both things to match close to perfect if possible. Just a suggestion. Sorry if so long. Peace

I was reading about these on www.altimas.net the other night. The chrome ring you see on the photos is the stock Nissan Altima ring. You can see it in the photo's at www.nissandriven.com. As for an idea on pricing the Altima's grill is going for $190 + Shipping. As well here's the directions for the altima's install. Looks like lots of cutting!

Sage

[From altimas.net Below]

I've installed a couple of these grills. After removing the grill, you then remove the chrome ring and the emblem. Then look at the instructions, back at the plastic grill shell. Repeat several times. You must cut all of the inside of the grill out. You pretty much only leave enough to remount the chrome ring. When it is cut and all the rough edges smoothed, place the new grill in. At the bottum it has vertical tabs that go between the ring and the shell. Start fasteneing the ring on. Then there are three tabs at the top. Have these pre-drilled with 1/8" holes sorta in the middle of them. You can either start with the middle or the two sides. Fit grill in until it is as flush with the ring as you like. Drill into the plastic through the holes you predrilled in the grill. Rivet these on. Then do the middle or whatever is left. Re-install. The hardest part is cutting out the center. Take your time with a Dremel, or do like a customer told me he did, drill alot of samll holes around and then use the drill as sort of a cutter between them. I'd be happy to help anyone who is doing this install when the time comes.

Your friend is lucky. LA is kinda cool too, I use to travel a lot in CA and my favorites places to hang out was the third avenue promenade in Santa Monica and Venice Beach, what can I say I'm a beach bun living in winterland. I live in Montreal and it's about -12 celcius, not so bad for feb, anyway winter should end in 3-4 weeks. I'm suppose to go NAB in Vegas this april, but usually I take a flight to LA visit some friends and then drive to vegas for the biz and the golf, I hope to meet some max freak like me.

Cheers
