may be a dumb question but..........

how do you install a breather filter? (the little small ones that are mainly for looks and nothing else). there is a hose coming off of where they go (or i guess thats where they go) and i was wondering where you had to put that or what? just wondering

Pull off crankcase breather hose, connect breather filter, simple as that.

Huge vacuum leak from removing that will = poor fuel economy.

everyone's opinion is pretty mixed on it. I did it a long time ago and now its dirty as hell (needs to be cleaned) so its doing its job. But my fuel mileage has been what i normally expect for my mods (25 mpg no highway all city). Its $10 to get one if you want it, if not then you have $10 for beer.

What I did. Bought one from an auto parts store (in the ricer aisle, you know APC). and ripped the rubber piece right out and took the crank case breather hose and cut about 2" off it and shave one end down till fit inside the filter piece and and connected it.
