I'm able to score some nice Blizzaks 215/50-17.
Since they are only going to be used in winter and on OEM 17" SE's, anyone see this as being a problem?
Based on the size, they are almost identical to stock 225/50. They are even taller than 235/45-17's which several org'rs run today. plus being slightly thinner would benefit in winter.
I travel about 70 miles (140 miles round trip) when I pick my children up for the weekend, etc. and would like to have a safer travel, especially with them in the car with me.

I just needed the extra re-assurance guys...
...I ran Nexen 235/45-17's and although I loved the tires, I never liked the overall diameter as it was much smaller than the 225/50 stockers I had. I went with them because of cost. They were much cheaper for some reason.
Just getting that extra cushy feeling from NmexMax makes everything oh so better
I'm buying them and not looking back...

Well, they are now in my possession. $200 got me four Blizzak WS-60 215/50-17 tires and a set of Acura CL 17" rims. One tire outer wall appears to have been rubbed against a curb. Other than that these things have well over 80% tread left if not more.
Gonna sell the rims to get back some of the money spent.
Even if I have to buy a new 4th tire (if it's bad) I am ahead of the game. These things retail for over $160 a piece!!!
