2003 maxima 6 speed shuts off while driving!!

I changed my oil myself today with mobile 1 trying to be nice to it since i've had so many issues after the OC i drove it for a while. At a stop light i went to take off and pluaaaah car died!!!! then it wouldnt start back up untill i hit the gas while starting it. it seems to only do this when hot. I also just replaced the cam position sensors as i was getting the code for them. they are OEM from nissan. On my way home i was going up a litle hill and pluahhh car dies again!!?? what gives? wasnt doing that before.

Cam sensor or crank sensor, or try to rev it pass 4500 rpm if it doesn't then it's probably your MAF....check your connections.....

Yeah, could be MAF. At least worth checking it out.

How many miles on it? Have you changed the spark plugs?

Isn't there a recall on 02-03 models for crank and cam position sensors? I know that there is for the 02-03 Infiniti I35.

Did you check all of your fuses and relays?

There is a recall for our cars. Call the local dealer and give them your VIN number and set an appointment. They'll do it in 30 min. Best part about is IT'S FREE!!

Take Tedos advice, they sent a recall letter out a few years ago for the cam sensor. People were shutting down on the highway..... bad news bears
