Cross Threaded Power Steering Pump where Pressure Hose Connects
I searched and couldn't find anyone who had screwed up like this, so I thought I'd start a thread and ask.
The thread on replacing the high pressure hose is clear on what a PITA getting the banjo bolt aligned to the power steering pump is. It was certainly no exception for me. At one point I thought i had it, but thought it might be cross threaded. I was so frustrated that I lost my ability to think clearly and thought I'd try just a couple of turns with the socket.
Bad idea. I realized it wasn't on straight pretty quickly and reversed it out. But I think the damage is done. I tried to screw in the bolt by itself without the hose and it wants to go in crooked in the same place every time.
So what are my options? I've got the old hose off.
Yes, I'm a dumbass. I know.

Ya, it's a big pain in the ***. Your best option would be to remove the power steering pump completely, and try to re-thread it off the car. I personally wouldn't try to do that with it still attached.
