UPS came yesterday, and the nice driver had for me my AE sill plates from Dave Burnette at South Point. These things look great in person, really nice chrome finish, can't wait to pop 'em on! I ALSO got my 6 custom made carbon fiber strips for between the exterior door pillars and for the small piece on the back door between the big and small window. I'll try to get a picture after I slap these bad boyz on this weekend, and now that the guy has the templates, he can cut them for anyone else who wants them (provided they look good ).

I'm STILL waiting on my 4 PIAA bulbs from CarParts.com, and with the 33% off coupon, that was a BIG score too. Those should be here on Friday hopefully. And finally, my 3M ClearMask kit should be arriving by the end of next week.

 

I'd like to see the CF stuff if you don't mind... please.

Yes, it is the REAL stuff, I made sure of that (no fake CF on my car!) I looked into putting on that "carbon fiber look" design film that they sell, would have been cheaper, but because it wasn't real it turned me off. I called around and none of the dash kit places would do any custom work, or they would quote a crazy high price which was much more that I wanted to pay.

I will take pictures this weekend before I install it and after it is on the car. I'll get my friend to scan the pictures - I know, I know, I need a digital camera - working on that too! The 6 pieces should cost approx. $60 plus shipping, but I paid an extra one time charge for the initial "designing" phase of the templates. If it looks good (I did a test fit last night, and it ROCKS!!!) I'll pass on the info on who to get it from.

Well, I finally ordered a digital camera from buy.com , got the Kodac DC215 coming in a few days . Scored a pretty good price with a $30 off coupon , total delivered cost is like $232 , so I WILL have pics real soon! Unfortunately, the rain today will keep me from installing the parts , but hopefully this weekend . It's nice to see all the Carbon Fiber finatics out there representing!
