I have a 1.8" drop F/R and I'm on 245/40/18's with no real issues. Only time it rubs is if I have 4 people in the car and go over a decent bump. 245/40 is pretty close to stock diameter. 235/40 will be too small, if anything go 235/45.

In for input. I think i might've ordered tires that are too short.

OP: Whats the width and offset of the wheel? Have any pics?

The wheels I just ordered are 18x8 with a 35mm offset. The tires I ordered with them are 245/40-18. The person I placed the order with at Tirerack suggested I go 235/45-18 even though all the tire calculators I've used have told me 245/40. I'm going to be lowered on Progress Sport Springs and shouldn't have any issues according to everyone I've talked to. I'll post again once I get them on and am lowered.

when i had 245 40 18 on the G rims, I barely cleared out back. get a 45 sidewall and you'll be crunching. anything over a 245 is crazy unless you run a thin *** sidewall, its gonna look ugly and stand the cars height a bit. So your height wont be as 2 inches anymore lol. think about that if you want to maintain that same height, tire width and sidewall matters opposed to the height you want to stay at

I am ordering some 18x8.5 tomorrow and was wantingto know if 245/40/18 tires are too much since I have 20mm spacers in the rear. Offset is pretty high I believe. And lowered on progress springs. Will I have any problems or should I go with 235/40/18? I will be getting my fendrers rolled soon also.

Sorry not yet. I was supposed to get the springs put on this weekend but it got pushed back so they'll be going on this coming Sunday. Feel free to ask me again next week if I don't remember to post after I get them put on.

I've had the Progress springs on for two weeks now with the wheels and tires and haven't had any issues. Between the road I drive on to go to work and my mountain of a driveway I'd rub somewhere if I could and so far nothing at all. They look really nice too and I don't even really need rear spacers. I hope that helps with your decisions.
