new clutch question

so i just installed my new clutch/flywheel setup and was wondering if anyone else gets alot of "judder" when starting from a stop(i was thinking its just break-in)..this is the first new clutch ive driven on and wasnt sure. i have a competition clutch 6 puck sprung hub with a fidanza flywheel. im used to slipping the clutch alittle to get moving so maybe i just need to get used to it?

your shutter/chatter is because of the 6 puck.....if this is the 1st time you are using a puck disc it is normal.

when you have a solid full face disc, there is no chatter, when you go with 6 puck disc you will get chatter and if you were to go with a 4 or 3 puck disc the chatter would be crazy...it would rattle the change in your ashtray when starting from a stop ...

so to make a long story short...it is normal

yeah the judder is subsiding alittle but i am having a problem with my pedal free-play...sometimes it has very little freeplay and grabs more toward the middle of the pedal and then starts grabbing lower to the foor with more free-play.....maybe air in the lines??

Most likely air in the lines.

The chatter will never go away for good. That's why puck clutches are pretty exclusive to performance vehicles. Not for comfort.

You won't find a puck clutch on palmost any factory car.

I don't even tink Porche's come with pucks from the factory.

But they grab great for good launches.
