Not getting power to the Rear Running Lights

My friend has a 2002 Maxima SE that I am working on. I do mobile mechanic work. I installed a hitch on it a few months ago along with a towing harness. It worked fine for a while but now his tail lights are not working. The brake lights and signals work fine. There is just no signal coming to the taillight wire. I tested the wire and connecting at the rear several times and looked everywhere for a fuse but I couldn't find any. Where does the signal originate for the rear running lights? It looks to be a red wire with a white stripe at the lights themselves. Please respond ASAP. Thanks.

Please, Someone, where is the source of the wire going to the Taillights?
