I purchased hotshot headers when they were going out of business and installed them on my 03 maxima. Well i bought another 03 a few months ago and can't decide whether i should spend the time to swap the headers out before i sell my old one. It seems like my car just went to **** after i installed the headers, even though it probably had nothing to do with them.

Also i think maybe i'm just getting out of modding and i'm not going to spend the money to tune because i have better things to spend my money on now. I know my old car sounded a lot better and the top end was better but it also had NO low end power, which might have been because of the headers. so what does everyone think, is it worth the time to swap out 2 cars headers? I know it was a pain in the *** the first time i did it. Now it will be a pain x2. What would everyone do?

I'm sure the headers didn't cause your car to go to ****! Well, not directly......

1.) Remove HotShots; sell to me
2.) Run open headers
3.) ????
4.) Profit

I'm kidding.

Honestly, I love the sound of my car with my OBX v2s + stock catback. It all really depends how much having them on there means to you.

Is it something you want, or something you just feel obligated to do because you actually bought the HotShots?

If it's not something you want, just let them go. Or perhaps sell them.

Well i've started taking off my hotshots and holy crap, what a pain in the ***. i can't believe i got these installed in one night.

Now, has anyone had their headers coated by jet-hot? When i bought my hotshots they weren't coated at all and i'm thinking about getting them done since they will be off. I was quoted $230 minus 25% off if i order by the end of this week. It seems like it would be a good idea.

I've decided i'm going to try to get them off, get them recoated, and them take them to my mechanic to get them put on i think. Probably include a resonated test pipe while i'm at it.

Well i've been quoted about $240 to get my headers and y pipe coated by jet-hot. I have to have them in the mail by friday to get the 25% discount though. I've seen conflicting reviews, so does anyone have experience with it?

if you plan on keeping the car for a while, i would do it. my y pipe has lost all its coating that originally came with my headers. before you send them to jet hot, many of my buds used this company, very highly recommended..
