help, alarm problem

My factory alarm went off 3 times today. It is rainig but the car is in a garage.

Anyone else had a problem like this?? Any TSB's??

I just know if I take it in Nissan is going to say nothing is wrong because they can't reproduce the problem.

I don't think we have a shock sensor (unless your name is Russ). So rain shouldn't matter. Make sure all your doors are closed, check trunk and the hood. Did you do anyting to the car lately? Plus I think there was something with alarm going off and having map light on or something... can't remember.

Re: help, alarm problem

Did you recently drive in the rain? My 87 SE had a short in the little piece that kills the lights when the door is closed. Occasionally when it rained, it would get wet and started turning the lights on thinking the door was opened. Long shot, but that might be it.

its supposedly impossible...

but.. I left my map light on once, and my alarm went off after 30 mins. its not a feature that I know of, I just know it happened. and a few others have mentioned this with the dome or map light.

Got me? I leave my map light on all the time - always messing around with the car and my car alarm never goes off so... maybe I don't have the 'feature' that you all have or my alarm doesn't work!!!
