Removing/extending rev limiter

Hey guys ive been curious as to how i may remove the govenor limiterr, ive been told that through a Technosquare ECU flash it removes the limiter however i spoke to Technosquare and they claimed that they do not make them for automatic maximas i also was looking into the E-Manage Ultimate however i was told by a variety of friends that it does not work as well with the 5.5 gens.. does anyone have any clue as to what i can do ? Any advice is appreicated as always.

EU will let you raise your rev limiter. Not your speed limiter.

You'd need to reflash your ECU to remove the speed limiter.

But why would you want to? Where in the world are you going to take the Maxima over 130?
i was actually hoping to remove both the rev limiter hurts me after 80mph, im what you may call a "spirited" driver so how many i remove them? most companies do not make them for auto maximas so im finding myself in quite a dilema

Like I said. EU or EB, or even V-Manage will allow you to increase the rev limit. So will UTEC. Technosquare does do reflashing for the AT. You just need to prove to them that you actually know cars and aren't just some tool looking to go F&F JDM tyte fast.

Removing the rev limiter is dumb because (1) then the engine has nothing to protect it from being rev'd higher than it can take and (2) if you have an auto, you would have to have it reprogrammed to shift at the higher RPM or it would just act like it normally would.

Call and ask them until they do it. Speak with different people there. Mine has it and it's auto.

There's really no reason to remove the speed limiter. Rev limiter, sure if you have supporting mods.

Post back after you call.

Actually the EB will not remove the rev limiter. At least dandymax and myself were not able to figure this out. But if you know how, can you point me in the direction of the thread for that?

L-Spec is OK, but the F-Spec gives the Z33 CVTC curve.

knight_, yeah I'm still curious myself and still searching for a legitimate answer on the rev limiter removal deal. If Dandy couldn't figure it out, I would imagine it's damn near impossible.

I can back you, just not sure how. I had sort the same issues when I got mine from them. They really didn't do what I asked, but it's ok.

You have to catch the right person in the right mood.
