Help Me

I got some new washer lights. I'm going to install them, but I don't know where to run the wires so that they turn on when I turn on my headlights. If someone has any information about this, please let me know.

Thanks

They are illegal to use, expect to be pulled over soon and ticketed for it. That'll be my advice.

I understand that they are illegal, but I will install them anyway, if I can figure it out. If you don't know how to install them then don't respond to this post. THANK YOU.

I concur, exactly its the right thing to do.

Understand ?

Actually a friend and i just wired them up. Its really not that hard. You just have to open your fuse box and connect the wire to the parkinglights, and then connect the constant wire to any nut or bolt. I live in NJ and I don't think they are illegal, but maybe I'm wrong. Hope I could help

Ok, to answer your question (unlike 7 out of 8 replies) here we go....I ran mine to the parking lights. Just take out the parking light (twist it) then disconnect the harness from the bulb. You have three wires running to the harness, RED, BLACK, and GREEN. RED is to make the parking lights go on, BLACK is ground and GREEN is to make them blink (but they don't stay on with the parking lights). Just take the wire and slide it into either the RED or the GREEN coresponding slot. I hooked mine up to the blinkers (GREEN). Then just put the harness back together, then just connect the BLACK wire (ground) to any metal bolt. check to make sure it works, then put back the bulb. Repeat for other side. It was pretty easy, easier than installing the suckers.

Now for those other 7 replies that didn't answer his question, please if you don't have anything related to his question or don't have an answer, don't reply. Sorry if I sound like an @$$hole, but it ****es me off when someone asks how to install something, then someone makes fun of the product. Grow up.

You are correct. But they do not stay on with the parking lights. I guess if you really want to, you could tap into the existing red wire from the LEDs and hook up another wire going to the red wire slot in the harness to have them on with the parking lights and blink with turn signals. I never tried it though.

Well if you want them to come on with your headlights, the use the RED wire slot. Since the parking lights come on with the headlights, the LEDs will light up when the headlights are on. I haven't tried hooking them up directly to the headlights (at least not on my car). You can do it by taking out the bulb and stuff, but it is too complicated and hooking them up to the parking lights is easier and you get the same results.

I'm not sure what you mean by parking lights. Are they the same thing as the turn signals? If they are, and i dont want them to blink, I just hook it up to the red and not the green right (last question sorry)?

If you don't want them to blink, hook it up to the RED. The parking lights are the orange (if you haven't changed them) lights next to the headlights.
