ODD question perhaps!

i got into an accident last week and im waiting for insurance to send me a check....but my question is i have a 2003 maxima....is it possible to do a i35 front end swap? fenders, hood, grille and headlights?? has anyone ever attempted this or am i just filling my head with wishful thinking??? i was under the assumption these cars are pretty much the same car with different body pannels...

I have to admit that the first thought that came to mind was if you were trying to put together some kind of "Max-kenstein" or a "Franken-xima".

I think you probably can since they essentially use the same frame with just different bodys so you can swap in all the front panels since they would all fit together. The only question is will the fenders work with the maxima doors?

Btw someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Me either I think the doors on the max are more square edged then the i35 picturing it in my head I think there would be a gap in the middle of where the fender and door meet and the upper and lower corners may rub with the door. Find an i35 and max in one piece and make some measurements.

Pretty sure they're identical where the fender meets the door.

But you can be the judge, OP.

Looks like it would work from the pics I believe it does since there are a couple people who haved swapped to the i35 hood so it should work another member just said someone did it so to the op go for it.

The I30/I35 don't have fender flares....so even if you switch out the front fenders, hood, grill, it'll look kinda weird, the body lines are slightly different as well!

^ True but you can just have the fenders pulled up front. From the pics, it looks as if the doors would line up.

More power to you if you pull this off. VW's are known for these kind of conversions (miss the VW scene). MK3 GTI's with a Jetta front end thus converting it into a JTI. They were sicc. So a Max with an I front end would be what? An IMax?
