Anyone have tis strut problem?

I jacked up the front end to replace the oil cooler o-ring. The next time I drove the car, the front end rides like a one ton pick-up. Seems like the struts are stuck in the extended position. Potholes are jarring and lumpy parking lots feel like off road driving. Mechanic says I need new struts, but the struts were fine before jacking it up. Has anyone ever experienced this? My neighbor says they had the same thing happen on their 350Z and it went away in a few days.

Huh... that is strrrrraaaannnge! I have 135K miles on my OEM struts and jack them up off the ground all the time with no problems...

Maybe yours are blown and have leaked out? I don't know for sure if that could cause them to behave in such a way... (part of me kind of wishes that mine would do something like this so my wife will let me drop $600 on a new suspension w/ some Illuminas and Progress springs

Weird huh? Mine gets jacked up off the ground almost every month too. Never happened before. My neighbor said it happened to their 350Z and it went away after two or three days. I might hold off on replacing the struts.

Replaced the front struts and the car rides great now. The old struts seem to be frozen in place. Can't be compressed or extended. More puzzled than before.

Wow! Never heard that happen before. I can only imagine the ride with them extended like that. Both of them jammed while extended?

What did you replace them with?
