Part Swap Idea?
Part Swap Idea?
Knuckle/Spindles assemblies can be reused with new bearings/hubs. LCAs can be reused with new bushings and ball-joints. The problem is having to remove them, take them to a shop for pressing in the new parts, waiting, and finally re-installing them. so, I was thinking maybe we could set-up some kind of parts/core exchange.
I am willing to offer a set of Gen 5-5.5 LCAs. They need bushings and ball-joints pressed in and coat of paint will make them perfect. Just pay the shipping or pick them up.
I am looking for spindle/knuckle assemblies. I already have new bearings and hubs, so I am not concerned he condition of the wheel bearings or hub. I just want to lessen my downtime.
Anyone think this might work? I am sure there many parts being thrown away that could help out a another ORGer. Also, some people are not fortunate enough to have a backup transportation mode.

. We won't even need that many of each type as every time someone replaces LCA for example using this method his own LCA becomes available as a 'core'...
