Not a super rare car but its pretty decent, if a little over priced. Haggle him down, the more money you don't spend now you will later on mods.
It may not be concrete, but non-HLSD cars did not get the metal pedals.
Also, its not the VIN, its the trans code that ends in H.

However, that car looks to be in very nice shape. That being said, I would say that a 6-speed 5.5 gen with those options AND in good condition like that is a somewhat rare find. If you can work the price down then go for it. If they won't budge, I'd walk away. Uncommon as it may be, values still apply. $9k is too much for that car. Don't hesitate to keep looking if it doesn't work out, these cars are only 8 years old so there's plenty of them still out there.
Well said, I couldn't agree more.

The dealer seems to think it has HLSD because it lists "Limited slip differential" under Powertrain.

It is somewhat harder to find all of those options especially 6spd with black leather

BTW. I have the same Max and couldn't be happier, still going strong.

From what I can remember 6-10 % were 6 speed. When I brought my first 02 new the dealer had only 1 6 speed on the lot out of 35 cars. I wouldn't call 6 speeds rare but not very commmon. Now 6 speeds with navi now those are rare.

The big reason I didn't get a 5.5 is the prices are much higher than the 5th gen 3.0 cars. I bought mine for $1,500... It's a 2000 SE, pearl white with black leather, and as far as I know it had every available option, and is a 5 speed. If I stumble across a 5.5 with a manual for 3 to 4K, I might buy it, but in my opinion this one you're looking at is too much.

I paid too much for my car this March ($5700 out-the-door from a dealer, 6MT, cloth, moonroof, BOSE) and wish I'd kept looking for a few more weeks to find a fully-loaded one for a bit more than what I paid. Or find a 5.5 gen in better condition for a bit more. Stupid rust belt. =(

What's rare is expecting $9000 grand for a Maxima with over 30,000 miles on it.

Rare

I didn't realize how rare my 5.5 was til I looked on this website. I got it back in February for my 20th birthday with 166K miles. I knew it was alot of miles, but it had a clean title and it had two owners. I tried to drive it and got kicked out because I couldn't drive a stick. But I treaded on and bought it. It has every option. The Factory Nav, Meridan Package, 6speed. I have fallen in love with it, and was considering buying a second one just like it just to drive as my second car. I have looked and in the 9 months I've been looking, I've only found one in the USA with all the same packages from the factory. Since Feb, I've put 18K miles on it and it's still running strong!
