has anyone here painted the OEM AE kit ot match the color of their car? Or are they supposed to be purchsaed factory-colored to match your car? I was thinking of changing out my stillen kit for an AE one.

Yes, any body shop will be able to color match the AE kit for you.

Yea you can paint it yourself man look up the color code under the car and you can go anywhere that sells auto paint and purchase it. (Most of the colors Nissan gives unique names are just regular colors, my KH3 super black was just regular black )

Haha, I had a feeling I would get flamed for this question. The reason why I asked it, was because I know with other OEM's (Honda for instance), their body kits are sold pre-colored (i.e. the color is in the actual polyurathane/plastic), so that if the kit is ever repainted, it may easily flake back to the original color.

Agreeing with Bryan. Paint should never just flake off of a car. If it does, it means someone didn't put the proper amounts of hardener and flex additive in the paint.

I'm assuming the reason the Honda lips come in pre-colored urethane is because most companies are starting to realize that Honda owners are either:

A) Too cheap to ever paint the lip
B) Going to cheap out and try and paint the lip themselves with a rattlecan
or
C) Too JDM to paint their lip

It can't be painted. It has been impregnated with a special "anti paint" deflection device.

JDM, you say...

It's harder to find an AE kit than it is to paint it.
