Pushing out of 6th gear

I noticed today that when I was driving on the highway that the gear shifter was being push out of 6th when I accelerated. This happen on multiple occasions. I can hold it in 6th but I still get a "clunk" feeling thru the shifter.

The clutch feels fine and is not soft by any means- this only happens in 6th...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Sounds more like a cable alignment problem. I believe the synchros are only used when entering into gear. They have nothing to do with it staying in gear.

I'm thinking the syncro because it is only 6th. But I am going to have it checked out next week. I just pray that whatever it is- it's cheap!
