M1 Syn ATF no longer ok for DEX III/Mercon?

Greets,

Been a long time user of Mobil 1 Syn ATF and its up for a change. I came across a thread on Bob the Oil guy and it seems to be saying that M1 syn ATF no longer states that its is Dexron III/Mercon approved or suitable.

Can someone confirm if this is no longer suitable?

Mobil 1 Syn ATF: http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...hetic_ATF.aspx

Superceding Dexron VI: http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...on_VI_ATF.aspx

I know AmSoil is still Matic D/Dexron III/Mercon suitable but would rather stick with Mobil 1 Syn ATF if it is still ok because its more available and a bit more economic.

Thanks in advance

If you read the back of the Mobil 1 bottle, it states its Nissan Matic D/J compatible (as I recall). Also, I think I remember the mobil 1 website stating it is compatible.

Hope this helps, as a side note in the spirit of helping a fellow member, search for a coupon code for Advance auto and you can save some serious cash.

The code I used a few months ago was BIG35 which was 35 off a purchase of $80 or more.

Good luck and hope this helps,

DCZC

Thanks for the info and reply. I have older bottles which stated it. The new bottles don't, they only state Mercon.

Here's the new listing:
GM Dexron IIIH, GM Dexron IIIG, GM Dexron IIE, GM Dexron IID, GM Dexron II, GM Dexron, Ford Mercon, Voith H55.6335.3X, MAN 339 V1, Volvo 97340 and Volvo 97341

I agree....I think it is the old bottles that don't say it.....I am sure the new bottles do...I just changed my ATF a couple of weeks ago with the new bottles and it clearly says...compatible with Nissan Matic D,J,K...etc....hope that helps...

Have any of you daily drivers noticed any improvement in mileage?
I did a full Mobil1 transfusion in my old Camry (engine oil + T-Tech flush in the trans) and saw nearly 2 mpg improvement on my commute.
