Removing factory BOSE sterero. HELP?!

Yes I have searched with no success.

For those with audio/video experience, here is my problem while removing factory stereo.

1. Removed trim around gearshift.
2. Removed center vents.
3. Removed the (4) screws holding the mounting brackets in place.

Now this is where I am having trouble. When I go pull the whole assembly (stereo/AC unit) out of the dash, it doesn't come out. I compared it to video posted below. That dudes just pulls right out on to his lap where you disconnect the wiring harnesses (at 2:40 on the video). I cant really see behind it, but it feels like one of the bundles of wires is really tight and holding it back. It will only pull out about 2 inches.

Anyone have any tips, pointers? Am I missing something?

Evidently your wires are tangled up somehow. On my 2k, when I get all the screws out, I have enought wire to pull the radio out a good 6 inches and I can easily reach behind it.

Yeah, the wires must be REALLY tangled. There is a bit of slack with all of the wires to the stereo/HVAC. Make sure you have those 4 screws out, and nothing in the way of the entire metal bracket assembly. Then I'd pull that b***h out.

Thanks guys, it turned out there was alot of slack when the wire turns and passes by the passenger footwell. I pulled some slack out and got it to pull out just enough to remove harnesses. But then I had two drill bits sheer right in half on the radio screws!!!
