clutch/tranny problems, help please.

driving to my parents house last night for christmas, i have been thinking my clutch was going for a few days now. anyway it was really boggy like the clutch wasnt catching, i wasnt going over 20MPH but my RPMS were around 6k. as i went around a corner and put my clutch to the floor to shift it stayed on the ground, it also would not go into 1st,2nd, or 3rd. it went into 4th and 5th till i got to my parents, when i shut it off the clutch pedal stayed compressed to the floor and it is now stuck in first gear and will not start. its a vague description but can anyone shed light on what my problems are. i have been told either a clutch or a whole new transmission...my fingers are crossed for clutch.

it could be a few things....make sure the clutch master resevoir is full...if there is a leak and it runs dry it would cause the pedal to stay on the floor...it sounds more to me like its the clutch or the pressure plate than the tranny but u wont really know until u get in there....idk.. anyone can ring in on this??...dont have a lot of experience with my max yet.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT this looked like a pretty decent deal on a clutch kit. is it worth going with?
