OEM Radiator

OEM Radiator
Does anyone know (I'm sure most of you do) whether the 2000 stock radiator is single or dual core? Got the typical leak at the top of the radiator and I need to replace it ASAP. Was planning on just getting the in-stock single core at AutoZone. Thanks!

Found this in the GD section. Not sure if it's the same price as the autozone one:

I've bought two Koyos and silicone hoses from importrp. One for the 4th and one for the 5.5. The KOYOs were perfect fit for both. Plus, no 'Nissan' logo in the plastic(both my originals cracked at that location). Quality products, great service, and fast shipping. Support our vendors.
Edit: Koyo is only like 100 bucks shipped from importrp, is proven, and once again is sold by an .org vendor.

To answer your question, they are single core and you can get replacement ones for about $75 on ebay or Amazon. I've replaced both my 4th gen radiators with cheap aftermarket ones, have not had any issues with them since I bought them several years ago.

I DO NOT recommend silicone hoses, even though they look good. I had the upper radiator hose blow itself off the radiator twice just because it is more slippery than OEM hoses. If you go silicone, be sure to spray some heavy duty hairspray into the ends before connecting so that it will stay put.

Troop: What hoses did you use? Also, what style of clamps? Maybe the ebay radiators don't have the correct neck diameter or length?

I've never understood this phenomena. If the correct application is used with the correct clamps, this shouldn't be a problem. I've never experienced this and I don't know anyone that needed hairspray or any other type of adhesive when using silicone hoses.

Could be the lip on the aftermarket radiator was not as thick as OEM, but when I changed the hose to a regular Autozone hose, it never happened again.

Thanks everyone. Got one off ebay for $69 and am installing it this weekend with the help of c-young's writeup. One question though, mine is a MT, so there are no AT coolant lines to attach. Should the connectors on the new radiator be plugged or capped, or would it matter?
