hey guys!

can i use a maf from a 2002 in my 2000 w/o removing the thermister, i have a wierd issue with my 2000, i can get my hands on a 2002 maf temporarily to throw in mine and see if it makes a difference. im hoping an 02 maf will be like a plug and play to say!

thanks

usually 5.5 guys want the 01 maf, just wondering why you would want a 5.5 maf in your 5gen?

I don't want that maf in my car permanently, I'm having some issues with powerloss and. Hesitation, hesitation is only when the engine is cold and at a certain rpm, I've done everything but swap the maf for these problems, where I work we just got a 5.5 gen there that is a writeoff (I work in a body shop) I wanted to throw that maf in my car and see if it removes my problems then I will know I need to buy a new one. So I wanna use the maf from the 02 as a test maf to see if mine is shot.

It should work for your testing, but you'll need to reset the ECU prior to starting the car with the changed MAF.

Look at your other thread...I commented in there on where to look for a new OEM MAF sensor, it is a lot less than you suspect...
