I think he got this from the magic 8-ball.

martinf: "Will they make the G35 available in manual transmission? *Shake ball*
Ball: "Chances are not likely"
martinf: "I think I'll go report this to the forum and **** everyone off"
forum: "Where did you hear this? How about citing an article or review?"
martinf: "I work for Nissan North America and there was a meeting about this."
forum: "bs"
martinf: "Actually, I heard this through my mom's cousin's friend's wife's third nephew who heard from a classmate who knows a mechanic who sometimes works on Nissans."

Especially since they are selling it as such a sporty car it would make no sence otherwise. I bet you sales or intrest would drop if they did not go for it. Plus so many Nissans are unibody for stick/auto why not this? Doesnt seem to add up.

To all of you, all I can say, is visit the Infiniti website, and click on future products.

G35

I was invited to a study group about a month ago which turned out to be for Infiniti, they were comparing the I35 & G35 to a BMW325 and an Acura and an A4, they stated that they would be releasing a version that was 350HP and AWD and a 6 speed.
Hope that makes someones day.

I was hoping to trade the A4 in for this car. I never keep my cars over 100,000 miles

What I've heard is similar to the Acura CL, first the auto then a year or so later comes the 6-speed.

The G35 is going to have a 6 speed gear box shared by a distant cousin thats being introduced soon as well. The coupe will be available near October of next year and will have the 6 speed standard and a 5 speed auto optional. This is from the Infiniti franchise owners conference not to long ago. There has only been speculation of the AWD and V8 being offered on any other platform other than the Q45 which is in its last days. The I35 (I series)will also be falling out of the infiniti line up as well.

Problem is Infiniti (Nissan) is NOT advertising it's 6 speed. I just went to the Infiniti website and all they talk about is a 5 speed auto with manual shift mode. I hope they are not gonna make the same mistake as Lexus did... Introduce a M/T 1 year later.

Oh and now they advertise 260HP!

They are going to do what most other carmakers have done for the sporting segment - "Marketing for Automoblies, 101"

Roll out the new vehicle with an auto, then a year later, roll out the manual tranny.

This makes everybody buy one the first year when they are the newset thing on the block, then they want the even newer one the next year with the "now available" maual tranny. It helps keep the excitement.
