my 01 tranny is on its way out

any recommendations on where to pick up a quality rebuilt automatic trans? Im in the metro NY area and I need an installer as well. Thanks in advance.

Get one from a wrecker for $300, and have a trans-go put in it, a rebuild will cost you a lot more and won't necessarily be any more reliable.

Thanks KRRZ350. That may be the way Im going to have to go. I saw a used tranny from a 56000 mile maxima for $500.

Even buying a tranny from a wrecked car have somebody go through it. I bought mine to find out it had no 2nd gear.
