Has anyone else noticed grey blotches in the paint (under the clear coat) just behind the spoiler on a 2k2. The dealership is going to repaint the trunk in the new year, but it's a pain in the a$$.

They said they had problems with some of the Sentras too, but most of those could be removed with a heat gun.

 

I have a black 2k1 with a huge spot on my hood. I haven't gotten it repainted yet but I have a claim in with customer service for them to repaint my hood. It is a pain, nissan has a very strict process when it comes to warrenty repaints. When I picked up my car I didn't notice it because it was dark, but I noticed it the next day. The dealer wanted nothing to do with me. I went to another dealer and they told me it is common, I guess moisture gets trapped under the white protective sheets when they ship the cars. They used a heat gun on mine, it went away but came back in several minutes.

 

when I went to have my car looked at by the paint inspector (for other problems) there was a black 2K with a big round blob under the clear on the hood. I thought I had problems until I saw that! it was about 6x4 inches.

 

I love the max, but why does nissian paint suck

 

Nissan black paint is the worst. I don't know why, must be the mixture. Other colors don't seem to have a problem.
