CL-S goes down hard!
Oh my gosh!! I am stock right now, since I sold my cone intake and havn't installed my CAI yet. But anyways, I had this CL-S come up next to me at a light, and the guy is next to me looking over (of course I looked), and he was reving his engine at me!! This CL-S had paper plates on the front! Only part I saw when he pulled up.. Well, I rev back to acknoledge lets run.
I had no idea what the outcome was going to be since this was off the line. But we lanched, I lanched her lightly and nailed the gas, car just pulled like a bat with the stock intake in!! I was surprised! 1st gear put half a car on that, hit 2nd hard, spun a little, and pulled about another 1/4 of a car, once I hit 3rd, I started to walk away. I let off when I was about 1 1/2 cars in front of him and this was around 90~!
Also since I did not see the badging, It was a CL-S. I saw the big wheels, and the spoiler on the rear.

LOL! LET ME BE THE FIRST LMAO!
I am not going to jump on this guy or argue with you guys, but you have to admit tho, that was a funny a$$ story! I won't say no more..... One thing tho, alot of members have a clp and have put cls wheels on their cars. Check our boards. Another thing, what are you driving stock (auto or stick) that you could see a cls? pls say 6spd! Actually don't reply...I will leave you guys alone

Must be nice to put CL-S wheels on a car with black tags on it. Black tags means it still belongs to the dealer. So I know it wasn't a fake CL-S.

I guess with a new dealer car he just so happened to brake torque at the light. Thus, messing up the engine on a car he probally doesn't own. Moreless, if it's a dealer car, HE REALLY knew what he was doing huh?

I know russ is not liked on some boards but his story can easily be true ACLSLURKER. I live in canada and i have raced 2 cl-s and beat them. One on the highway droping to 3rd gear and another one on harwood from a standing start. The thing about manual cars is that you can always find a way to drive it better. That can explain the auto cl-s 14.7 to the manual max 15.1. Even though those were pro's driving they still don't get time to learn the sweet spots of the vq.
I know i can get a better time then 15.1 because i raced my boy's b16 swap in his 91 civic and he barley beat me he ran consistent 14.3-4's. This was from a start, i could always beat him on the highway though. Now i have mods< stillen y pipe stillen intake> and i'm noticably faster. Good kill russ

Most CL-S I've Raced have either kept right next to me, or have lost by a little bit, or vise versa. Its all the driver and Condition with my 2k2 vs. the CL-S. So Russ may have had a better day driving than the guy in the CL-S, to really know is to race that same guy many times.
So far my CL-S battle scores are:

both were K&N filter vs. CAI
I have access to CL-S racers, since we are in the same club.

well i guess the nav girls showed up after all. russ don't you know that if you have nav you are faster and there is no way you could ever beat a type s even though you have done it before and lots of other people have too. i haven't ran into one yet but i can't wait.

Hey! Does Maxima.org's membership jump everytime Russ makes one of these posts? Seems to be a lot of seepage from other boards when he does. All of these people come out of the woodwork...

Not really. The 6spd max is faster. I went to drive a demo (their showcar) with about 1200k on it at my local dealer and I know how to speed shift. It actually felt faster. Now, for one, I have never raced a 6spd max and from my cousin's friends, they said they are an animal at highend power.
